Oliver’s Mount and Auto 66 Racing have been working in partnership with Yorkshire Air Ambulance recently and have developed a great working relationship, with staff and volunteers from YAA attending all Oliver’s Mount road race meetings to raise money and spread awareness of the fantastic charity.
On 29th November, a cheque presentation took place here at Oliver’s Mount for the overall amount raised since our partnership began and we are extremely pleased to announce that we have been able to donate a whopping £10,094.64.
Representatives from Yorkshire Air Ambulance attended, alongside Paul Vasey and a couple of the girls from VF Racing Grid Girls and the cheque was presented on the start line of the famous circuit. This amount has been raised through various events, including the grid girls bucket collections, the YAA stall on the trade field, a charity auction and the Auto 66 marshal’s cake sale, amongst other fundraising and donations.
We are delighted to be able to donate such a huge amount of money. However, to keep both of Yorkshire’s Air Ambulances maintained and in the air, the charity needs to raise £12,000 a day! As they provide such an incredibly valuable service, day in day out, we will be continuing our partnership into 2018 and fundraising once again for Yorkshire Air Ambulance.
Special thanks must go to the following people, on behalf of the team at Oliver’s Mount: Rob Scott, Bob Smales and the rest of the crew at Yorkshire Air Ambulance for attending each meeting and working so well alongside us, to Paul Vasey and the grid girls who do a fabulous job of collecting money over the race weekends and to our Auto 66 marshals and officials who have been extremely keen to get involved in some extra fundraising in their own ways. Most importantly, a huge thank you to the general public, our spectators and anyone who has donated to Yorkshire Air Ambulance. Long may this generosity continue for such a wonderful, worthwhile and life saving charity!
